WINEMAKER NOTES

This Merlot is a wine with rings of deep ruby and a nose of soothing caramel, licorice, cinnamon, and candied plum. It gives a new sense of adventure to the Kiepersol portfolio with a smooth and spicy palate of plums and blackberries.

The story of each Kiepersol wine is a journey from the heart of the vineyard through carefully selected toasted oak wine barrels and ultimately the tables of our friends and families. Our Bourbon Barrel series travels beyond this tradition, surrounding our most outstanding wines with Jimmy’s Texas Bourbon heavily charred American oak barrels. Recycling these barrels has given us the chance to create a limited series of estate-grown wines charting a more masculine, smooth, and subtly sweet path.
